Janssen Pharmaceutica in Beerse has raised the level of automation involved with their syrup line. The empty glass syrup bottles that need to be filled are now securely packed into safe packs which use strong shrink film. They are then guided into a plastic crate with cardboard interlays. Both packing and unpacking are now fully automatic, performed by two robots that help out even further by bringing the bottles to the filling line.
The success of the project rests on the close collaboration between Janssen Pharmaceutica and the intrion team. We thoroughly tested the new technology at intrion before implementing it in the production line. Eric Kooremans, Senior Manager Project Engineering and Laurent Lhoir, Project Engineering, tell their story in the testimonial above.
